Sometimes Obama disappoints me. Other times he says things like this. You have to give it to the guy: He’s a great speaker, who always has a witty zinger on hand. I still remember how he made Mitt Romney look like a slow-witted fool in their last debate back in 2012.

When President Obama trolls the Republican presidential candidates, he trolls hard. At Thursday night’s state dinner with Canada, Obama extolled the similar values of and warm relationship between the two countries … and poked at Republican presidential candidates Ted “Calgary” Cruz and Donald “Build a wall” Trump:
We as a peoples are committed to the principles of quality and opportunity, the idea that if you work hard and play by the rules, you can make it if you try, no matter what the circumstances of your birth, in both of our countries. And we see this in our current presidential campaign. After all, where else could a boy born in Calgary grow up to run for president of the United States? Where else would we see a community like New Breton, Nova Scotia, welcoming Americans if the election does not go their way. And to the great credit of their people, Canadians from British Columbia to New Brunswick have so far rejected the idea of building a wall to keep out your southern neighbors. We appreciate that. We can be unruly, I know.
Well done, Mr. President. (Video below.)
